Motorists in America can now refuel at home, thanks to a Honda that runs on compressed natural gas (CNG). Homes with an existing CNG supply can refill the Civic GX using the Phill fuelling system. Sadly, the lack of homes using the gas in the UK means there are no plans to offer the system here.

According to researchers at driving school BSM, two-thirds of newly qualified motorists claimed they were more likely to travel faster after a session of on-screen driving. And nearly a quarter of the 1,000 16-24-year-olds said they imagined they were in a game when at the wheel.

Two in five played racing games at least once a week. But BSM"s Robin Cummins didn"t think it was all bad news. "Accred÷­ited simulators can be useful to enhance driving skills," he explained.
