At best, it is irritating...

At best, it is irritating to hear stuff moving around in console cubbies and the like. And at worst it could be dangerous, as they may end up under the pedals. But JML reckons it’s come up with a solution – the Grab Mat.

It has to be said there isn’t a lot of visual appeal. It’s a clear piece of film that sticks to your dash, and your bits and bobs sit securely on the top.

Although it’s an incredibly simple idea, it works well, as the Grab Mat is one of the best low-budget gadgets we’ve seen in a long time. Over even the bumpiest roads on a 500-mile trip, our coins, MP3 player and mobile phone didn’t budge, even when the mat was placed on sloping parts of the dash. The mat is easy to remove and switch from one part of the dash to the other – peel it off and stick it elsewhere. It doesn’t even leave any marks behind.

JML Grab Mat, price: ?3.99, buy from: 0870 111 8888
