Swedish manufacturer Saab has announced prices for its new 9-3 Sport Wagon, on sale in September. Entry-level 1.8-litre cars start from í‚á£17,995, with the flagship 250bhp 2.8-litre Aero at í‚á£27,795. This high-performance model now features a new V6 engine. Dealers are taking orders, but full spec details won"t be available until nearer the launch.



It wasn"t only veterans...

It wasn"t only veterans of WWII who came together in remembrance of fallen D-Day colleagues - motoring military hardware was on display, too. Our amazing picture shows how more than 120 wartime Jeeps descended on Normandy, France, to mark the 60th anniversary. As with the veterans, the rare 4x4s travelled from all over Europe, including Britain, Holland, Germany and Poland, to attend.

New Government statistics show a drop of two per cent in the 12 months ending December 2006, compared to the previous year. Total casualties were also down five per cent during the same period.
