Bosses wanted to mount a giant, rotating, illuminated version of the company logo, measuring 5.85 metres, on top of the main cone-shaped building at the historic site of Mercedes-Benz World in Brooklands, Surrey. However, Elmbridge District Council has refused planning permission, stating it would be "visually intrusive in an area of special advertising control" and "detract from the views of the ancient monument".

When reverse gear is selected, a lens extends from under the rear window and an image is displayed on a screen in the centre console. After use, it retracts back and is hidden under a cover.

The two-seater is charged using a standard mains supply to provide a range of nearly 100 miles. But its batteries can be topped up via a natural gas-powered generator.
