Mercedes has announced prices for its new B-Class. The í‚á£16,995 base B150 kicks off the line-up, and comes with air-con, a CD player and foglamps as standard. SE trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, colour-coded mirrors plus a chrome exhaust for an extra í‚á£950. Diesel prices start from í‚á£18,995 for the entry-level B180 CDI, and rise to í‚á£21,575 for the B200 CDI SE. The top-of-the-range B200 Turbo offers 193bhp, and costs í‚á£22,795.

Capitalising on the heritage of the Jeep brand, the front has been redesigned to emphasise the seven-slot grille. The foglamps are also new, while stylists have worked on the car"s bumpers and side mouldings to make them more pronounced. At the rear, the tail-light clusters have been restyled to freshen up the 4x4"s looks.

Inside, changes are equally subtle, but the switchgear has been altered to make the cabin more ergonomic, while fresh materials and fabrics have also been added.
