With the hayfever season...
With the hayfever season in full flow, MP Andrew Dismore is campaigning for clearer labelling on over-the-counter drugs to keep road users informed about the side-effects of their pills. More than 100 drugs are known to cause dizziness and delayed reactions. "Clearer labelling will alert people to the unexpected hazards," said Mr Dismore.
Chinese firm Nanjing...
Chinese firm Nanjing Automobile has revealed UK prices for its version of the Rover 75 saloon.
Badged the MG 7, the range will start at around ÷£11,400 for the entry-level 1.8-litre turbo Comfort model. Above it will sit a Luxury version carrying a ÷£12,360 price tag, while the Luxury Sport model will cost ÷£13,500. The long-wheelbase 2.5-litre V6 flagship model will set buyers back around ÷£20,000.
Nanjing, who bought the bankrupt MG Rover company in 2005, is already selling the MG 7 in new dealerships across China, but so far no on-sale date for the UK has been given. Meanwhile, Nanjing has re-started MG TF production at the Longbridge plant in the West Midlands. The two-seater should go on sale in the UK later this year. Rival firm Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, who bought the rights to some Rover models, is also scheduled to launch its own 75-based model next year. Called the Roewe 750, it will be available via SsangYong dealers.
