Detroit is home to the brawny American V8, but the Brits muscled in on this yearò€™s show with a V8 bruiser of their own! The long awaited Jaguar XFR, the firmò€™s most powerful saloon car ever is finally ready to roar, and weò€™ve got exclusive live photos along with all the details that matter.
Even the smallest superminis...
Even the smallest superminis come fitted with parking sensors ò€“ but few have a rear view screen as well. Now, Valeo has combined the best of both worlds with an aftermarket kit that not only has an audible warning and a display, but a distance measurement, too.
And in our tests, that figure was uncannily accurate ò€“ it got within a few centimetres of the actual distance. The red type used was also clear, plus it counted down quickly as we got closer to the obstacle.
Whatò€™s more, while the screen isnò€™t the largest on the market, the high resolution and bright colours made it perfectly clear. It can also be installed
unobtrusively in the vehicle.
The screen is easily detached for security purposes and can be mounted anywhere in the car if space is tight above the rear view mirror. The system uses four rear ultrasonic sensors ò€“ which can be supplied in body colours or ready to paint ò€“ as well as a rear view camera. All this is positioned in the back bumper to alert the driver.
But while a drilling tool and instructions are included, the company recommends that the Beep & Park/Vision is installed by an auto electrician.
