But its sleek profile and narrow headlamps are far removed from the awkward looks of the firm"s Rodius MPV and Kyron SUV, which are SsangYong"s most familiar products here in the UK. In fact, the Wz"s heavily contoured flanks and smooth bodylines are more reminiscent of the Lexus LS.

Tracing its heritage back to the TRIDION4 concept car unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2001, the ForMore follows Smart"s favoured design technique - bolting interchangeable plastic panels to a steel frame.
