Just days before the...

Just days before the start of the Concours dò€™Elegance show in Pebble Beach, California, Auto Express has lifted the lid on Pininfarinaò€™s latest creation ò€“ the Hyperion.

Based on the Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe, the one-off vehicle has been created for an unnamed wealthy car collector, and as you can see from this rendering, is set to be a showstopper.

Due to be officially unveiled at the Californian show on 17th August, the Hyperion will make its European debut at Octoberò€™s Paris motor show.

The Hyperion takes its name from Greek mythology, and its looks are inspired by classic pre-war Rolls Royces.

However, under the bonnet, the Hyperion shares the latest Drophead Coupeò€™s 453bhp 6.75-litre V12. And, despite its obvious size, the Hyperion will scorch from 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds.

Pininfarinaò€™s latest creation is its first coach built special since the Ferrari Enzo-based P4/5 it created for collector James Glickenhaus in 2006.
