Kan-yoo believe it?...

Kan-yoo believe it? Renault has built a Kangoo with three doors! Auto Express can exclusively reveal the facelifted version of the budget MPV, complete with a new addition to the family.

The pictures in this week"s magazine show two distinct variants of the revised people carrier free of any disguise, out on a photoshoot for Renault’s latest brochure. The shorter three-door model, which will be displayed as a concept at September’s Paris Motor Show, is badged the B Up, if it gets a positive response from the public it will go into production.

Meanwhile, the five-door car will appear in UK dealers late next year. It gets a sleek new nose and fresh rear lights. Flagship versions are powered by an improved 1.9-litre dCi diesel, while a versatile cabin builds on the current car’s space and stowage.

But the Kangoo is only the start for Renault. A document on the brand’s website reveals 26 new launches planned before 2009. Key models for 2007 include a new SUV called the Koleos for March, the next Laguna in July and the Twingo in October. In March 2008, the company is scheduled to introduce a Laguna Coupé, with a second larger SUV due at the end of the year.
