That"s because the Qashqai is the work of Nissan"s new London-based European design centre, which has been charged with giving the firm a fresh face over the coming years. And while there are no immediate production plans, other design cues from the Qashqai - named after a nomadic tribe in Iran - such as the barn doors, mirror-mounted cameras and LED front lights, could find their way into showrooms even sooner on more mainstream models.
