Called the Match, it replaces the S and comes loaded with ÷£825 worth of free kit, including 15-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door mirrors and front foglights. On the road, the BladeRunner...

On the road, the BladeRunner behaves like a normal truck but has a much tighter turning circle, as the wheels are fitted to "turnable" bogies at either end. It can carry goods, passengers or even act as a high-speed car transporter.

And as you can see...

And as you can see, the roadgoing model is virtually identical to the Prototipo which wowed crowds at March"s Geneva event. Thankfully, its designers have maintained the hatchback"s neat proportions and flowing curves, sacrificing few of the show car"s sharp edges and neat creases. The only things that are missing are the Prototipo"s centrally mounted exhaust and the deep bumpers with swanky honeycomb mesh.

Autotuning

Thanks to this leaked...

Thanks to this leaked official picture, one thing"s clear about the revised SUV - the Swedish maker is playing it safe with the exterior changes.

Set to go on sale later this year, the updated XC90 gets subtly modified lights and a restyled bumper at the front. At the rear, the revamp is completed by new tail-lamps that take their inspiration from the recently unveiled C30 small car.

It"s not surprising that Volvo has kept the updates to a minimum, though. The XC90 was its best-selling model last year, and the firm obviously doesn"t want to mess with a winning formula. Inside, the changes are also subtle. Tweaks include new, higher quality materials, with chrome trim for the dash and an optional wood-finished steering wheel.

Dynamically, the revised XC90 will offer the same comfort-oriented experience as the current model. However, the engine line-up will be updated, with the arrival of a 235bhp 3.2-litre straight-six petrol unit from the new S80 saloon. When sales begin in late summer, prices will be virtually untouched, starting at around ÷£32,000.
