The Saab 9-5 has been commended as the safest car on Swedish roads by Folksam, the Swedish insurance and accident investigation authority. This latest safety acclaim follows the Saab 9-5"s 5-Star EuroNCAP rating last year, as well as being named by Thatcham as the benchmark in terms of seat design for safety and anti-whiplash injuries.

The compact five-door is closely related to the new MG6 concept and once on sale, it will slot in the Roewe range slightly below the 550.
Although it hasn"t been confirmed for production yet, the Roewe N1 is likely to be badged Roewe 350 (there will also be a Roewe 250 supermini), and continues the very British tradition of badge engineering. The Roewe N1 will appeal to more conservative buyers not wanting to take the plunge into the full MG sporting experience.
If recent experience of the Roewe 550 is anything to go by, the Roewe 350 will enjoy a relatively soft ride and cossetting interior.
Other Roewe debuts included the sporting RS version of the 550, and two new alternative fuelled versions of the 750e, including a new fuel cell and hybrid.
