The concept buggy has...
The concept buggy has a seat, steering column and throttle, transforming the original stand-up model into a quirky quad bike. The sketch shows how the two front wheels have simply been attached to a standard Segway, with footrests replacing the platform. The four-wheeler is steered by a simple turn of the handlebars.
If sitting down becomes a pain in the backside, the rider can do a wheelie - and stay standing. That"s because this vehicle, dubbed the Centaur, uses the same electronic balancing gyroscopes featured on the original Segway. The upright rider then accelerates and brakes by simply leaning forwards or back. Bosses at the firm are currently denying they have plans to turn the four-wheel concept into a production version - even though sales of the original haven"t met predictions.
