More than 60,000 motorists...

More than 60,000 motorists were told where they could find all the fixed and mobile speed camera sites in the Midlands at this year"s British Motor Show. The Midlands Safety Camera Partnership handed out a free interactive CD-ROM showing where the speed traps are sited. The aim is to improve safety throughout the region, and it"s the first time the eight camera partnerships involved have disclosed the locations of all their sites. PHOTO-quality pictures are laid on top of standard sat-nav maps so drivers can compare the view through the windscreen with the display at a glance. A spokesman for developer Teleatlas said: "We will add them to maps of Berlin, Barcelona and Athens soon, and London before Christmas."

The line-up now includes the Fever 5R, XLR, Vertigo and Mag-num, which Mak claims mix mo­tor­sport inspiration with Italian style.
