For the first time in...
For the first time in modern grand prix history, all the top teams will have the same driver line-ups in 2009 as they did this year.
The new Renaultsport...
The new Renaultsport Clio has side vents and an F1-style diffuser with integrated tailpipes, which are all designed to aid aerodynamics.
Featuring an all-new 2.0-litre 16-valve powerplant that produces 197bhp and 215Nm of torque, the new hot hatch should manage the 0-62mph sprint in 6.9 seconds, plus a 133mph top speed. And fans of the Trophy and Cup editions of the previous Clio will be glad to learn there are plans to develop similar models again - largely due to their popularity in the UK. More than half of the hot hatches Renault sells find homes in Britain.
Meanwhile, Renault"s vice president of projects, Gerard Payen, told Auto Express "not to rule out" the resurrection of the Clio V6. The firm stopped building it in July last year, but it may return as the maker "further develops the Renaultsport brand".
