The revolutionary blower...

The revolutionary blower features a tiny automatic transmission that switches the supercharger between two gear ratios. This means that it runs extra fast at low engine speeds, to boost pressure and increase low-end torque, resulting in better performance. It then changes up at higher speeds to a more traditional supercharger performance.

The mechanism is entirely self-changing with no electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic control systems.

Developers Antonov Automotive Technologies are using the supercharger to showcase their innovative compact automatic transmission technology which they expect to be adopted for other applications.
